Rehabilitation for wounded soldiers and veterans in Zaporizhzhia
We are a physical therapy office in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, working with wounded service members and veterans: contractures, muscle weakness, pain, return to everyday activity. Led by a physical therapist in practice since 2012. Sessions are one-on-one; the first consultation takes about 60 minutes.
What we work with
- consequences of wounds after the main hospital treatment is finished;
- contractures — when a joint has lost mobility after surgery or prolonged immobilization;
- muscle weakness after long treatment and bed rest;
- pain in the injured area, back and joints;
- return to everyday load: walking, stairs, lifting, self-care;
- residual limb (stump) preparation for prosthetics and overall recovery after amputation — in agreement with the doctor or prosthetist.
How sessions work
Every session is one-on-one: only you and the therapist in the room. The program is built on examination and testing, not on a template — even with similar wounds, two people have different limitations and goals.
We work calmly and to the point. We do not ask about the circumstances of the injury beyond what the program needs: what matters is how your body moves now and what you want to return to — service, work, or simply managing daily life without help.
The load increases gradually from session to session, and you get exercises to do on your own between visits. Booking is flexible: if you are in Zaporizhzhia only for a short leave or between stages of treatment, we schedule sessions closer together.
First visit
The first consultation takes about 60 minutes: conversation and history, examination and testing, a recovery plan and the first exercises. Bring comfortable clothes, a change of shoes and any medical documents — hospital discharge summaries, scans, doctors' reports.
For foundations and volunteers
If you are arranging rehabilitation for a wounded service member — as an international foundation, a volunteer or a family member — call or message us on Telegram or Viber at +380 97 824 48 01, or write to Instagram @rehabplace. We will say honestly whether physical therapy can help in a particular case, and with the patient's consent we stay in touch about how the sessions are going.

Questions & answers
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No, a referral is not required — you can book directly by phone or through the form on this site. If you have hospital discharge summaries, scans or doctors' reports, bring them to the first consultation: they help us assess your condition more precisely and build a safe recovery program.
How can I book if I am on leave or between stages of treatment?
Call or message us on Telegram or Viber at +380 97 824 48 01 and tell us how many days you have in Zaporizhzhia. The schedule is flexible: we will fit sessions around your dates, arrange them more often if needed, and Saturdays are available by appointment.
Do you work with amputations?
Yes. We work on preparing the residual limb (stump) for prosthetics and on overall reconditioning: strength, balance, endurance, posture. The scope and pace of sessions are agreed with your doctor or prosthetist, so physical therapy supports the main treatment. This helps rebuild confidence in everyday movement.
How much does rehabilitation cost for a soldier or veteran?
Active service members and veterans get special terms for sessions. The cost depends on your condition and on how long and how often you train, so we set the exact price at the first consultation after the examination. Call +380 97 824 48 01 — we will explain the terms in detail.
Can family members be present at sessions?
Yes, if that feels more comfortable: sessions are one-on-one, with no strangers in the room. Having someone close often helps at the first meetings. On request we show relatives how to support you safely at home between sessions — spotting during exercises, dosing the load, everyday details.
A long time has passed since the injury. Is it still worth starting?
Yes, you can start long after a wound or surgery. At the first consultation we examine you, test strength and range of motion, and tell you honestly what we can work with. Recovery speed is individual, but there is usually room for progress even in long-standing cases, coordinated with your doctor where needed.
Can a foundation or volunteer arrange sessions for someone?
Yes. If you are arranging care for a wounded service member — as a charity, a volunteer or a family member — call or write to us on Telegram or Viber at +380 97 824 48 01. We will say honestly whether physical therapy can help in that case and agree on a schedule.
